The Kegels

(San Francisco)

Punk / Skate / Indie

The Kegels are good at two things: taking it easy, and keeping it tight. San Francisco braised punk rock interweave a calming focus of culpable razor-embedded melodies with the stoic poignancy of lyricist Mortimer Lopez (guitar and vox), leading the foursome charge. After being courted by fatter labels early on, The Kegels stayed independent and true to their music, sound, and craft, releasing their 2012 full length “No Tomorrow” on their own. Years pushed on as The Kegels crashed on floors, completing tour after tour, to eventually push through and release their 2019 EP “Blood and Wine”, crash landing safely into the nestled warmth and solace of No Pants Records in March, 2020. No mountain too tall, no river ran too deep, no viral pandemic too severe to stop the ever strengthening, contorting wits and sounds of The Kegels.
